With over 20 years of nonprofit experience, including 12 years as Executive Director of the Seneca Park Zoo Society, Rachel Baker August created a consulting agency to use her skills and expertise to help community nonprofits. She has a long-standing passion for encouraging nonprofit leaders reach their goals by offering effective management support with a special focus on developing fundraising strategies.
Rachel believes that well managed philanthropic campaigns have the ability to generate transformational changes in nonprofits so that they may better meet the needs of their constituents and the community at large.
Beginning with the initial step of clarifying a vision, through the final celebration of a successful campaign, Rachel will support nonprofit management to ensure that a professional, well-organized and ethical fundraising program is implemented.
She will work behind the scenes to help nonprofit leadership strategize on how to gain visibility, create compelling messages, and motivate volunteers to act.
Whether it’s one-on-one sessions with the Executive Director or working with the full Board of Directors, Rachel will facilitate growth and change to better fulfill the mission of your nonprofit.
